Revenue

In its first year of operations , Second Chance Foundation (SCF) raised a little over $ 43,000, all of which came in the form of individual contributors. Of the $ 43,000 raised, $42,000 (99%) was spend directly on programs, of which $31,000 (72 %) was awarded in scholarships to individuals and $ 11,000 (27 %) was used in our awareness campaign bringing hope to those suffering from the disease of addiction. Less than 1% of total funds raised was used for operations (office supplies, tax and legal services, etc). This was possible due to our amazing and wonderful 100% home grown, organic, volunteer board and staff.

Forecast

Second Chance Foundation (SCF) is looking to continue its program ratio, maintaining a strong awareness campaign by increase the number of donors and their contributions, as well as grant writing. Operational expenses will remain nominal as SCF will continue to operate with a 100% volunteer base.

Currently SCF is looking to increase the size of its board, bring on board additional resources that can help both manage operations, and provide guidance on grant writing and proposal, in order to enlist a yet untapped corporate sector and endowments who’s mission aligns with SCF.
